Although I’m studying Education, I’ve always been a very critic person about the role that schools, in general, have in our society. I think that, in a lot of ways, they are a very authoritarian institution. So, I would really like to work in a communitarian school. A communitarian school is a school that has been built by and for the people of a specific community or village. I imagine that it should have different ways of relations between the students and teachers. Like the Caracoles Zapatistas, for example. The Caracoles are educational institutions from the Zapatistas that are like our schools, but that have been made up in a totally different basis.

So I don’t imagine I could work indoor or in an office, but I really like the idea that I could travel a lot. For example, to Chiapas, in Mexico. It could be an interesting experience, for me as a teacher, to learn about the Caracoles, their organization, programs, and people. So, I don’t know if I could do that in  reality, but it’s a really good idea for me.

Actually, I’m not taking any major, and I don’t know very much of any of them, because I’m focusing in finishing this year. But, in a future, I would love to take a major about alternative pedagogies, which is a major that I know that can be done in this university.
